How to buy AC wisely?

MTPL insurance is compulsory, and its absence has consequences in the form of penalty fees. Additional AC insurance is voluntary, so many people are resigning from buying a car in order to reduce the cost of ownership. It's not exactly a sensible decision. Why would I do that?

In what situations does AC work?

Autocasco insurance provides compensation to the owner of the vehicle in the event of theft, theft of car parts or equipment, collision with another vehicle, man, animal or object, as well as damage to the car as a result of acts of vandalism or the forces of nature. Most often AC is bought by owners of valuable and new cars, which are popular brands and are very popular among thieves. It is also worth to think about such additional insurance if you park in unguarded places or areas where vandalism is not uncommon. If you have older cars and imported cars from abroad with the steering wheel on the right-hand side, you may have some difficulty finding an autocasco. Although this is not the rule, some insurance companies deny AC to the owners of such vehicles.

AC in a package - what are the benefits?

In the case of civil liability, the case is quite simple. Since the insurance coverage is the same regardless of the offer, it is most sensible to choose the cheapest one. People looking for AC have a slightly more difficult task, because the scope of autocasco should be tailored to the individual needs of the car owner, and the greater the scope of protection, the higher the amount you have to pay for AC. Therefore, it is worth considering what we need. For example, there is no point in paying for help abroad if we drive our car only in the country. Some companies offer more attractive AC prices when buying an autocasco with OC. Although it is not obligatory, it is worth to think about such a solution - all insurance policies and contracts end at the same time, so that we do not have to remember about different dates, and possible damages are reported to one insurer.

Remember what?

Before signing a contract with an insurer it is necessary to read the contents of the document carefully and to read the exclusions of liability. This term covers situations in which an insurance company refuses to pay compensation. In the event of a stolen car, this is usually done by leaving keys or documents in the car, and in the event of a collision, by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We should also remember to observe the deadlines for reporting damage. We should inform the insurer about collisions and other damages within 7 days as a standard, and in case of theft we usually have only 24 hours to report it.
